In anticipation of Eid Al Adha, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, has decreed the release of 836 prisoners from Dubai’s correctional and punitive establishments. These individuals represent various nationalities, underscoring the emirate’s diverse population.
The decision to grant pardons is part of Sheikh Mohammed’s ongoing efforts to spread joy among the families of those incarcerated and to provide the released individuals with a fresh start. Dubai’s Attorney General, Chancellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, announced that the Dubai Public Prosecution is working closely with Dubai Police to carry out the necessary legal procedures for this initiative.
