The United Arab Emirates is gearing up for an increase in temperatures and humidity during the Eid Al Adha holiday, as forecasted by the National Center of Meteorology. As the week unfolds, weather conditions are expected to be largely fair to partly cloudy, with a gradual rise in temperatures typical of the approaching summer season.
Sunday is anticipated to bring a slight dip in temperatures, accompanied by possible fog or mist in some western and coastal regions during nighttime and early morning hours. However, beginning Monday, hotter weather is set to return, marking the start of the Eid holiday for government workers. Cities like Al Ain and Fujairah may experience highs of around 43°C and 41°C, respectively, throughout the holiday period. Winds are predicted to be light to moderate, occasionally reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h.
Nighttime and early morning hours are expected to see increased humidity levels, particularly in coastal areas. Despite the rise in temperatures, sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea should remain calm, offering some respite for those near the water.
This weather pattern signifies the UAE’s gradual shift into the summer season following a relatively mild spring. Many regions have already started experiencing temperatures exceeding 40°C in recent weeks, underscoring the seasonal transition. In the northern hemisphere, summer astronomically starts on June 21.
