In a meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah, highlighting the nation’s dedication to supporting its citizens and propelling national progress. The leaders underscored the central role of Emirati citizens in the UAE’s development strategy and their importance in fulfilling the country’s long-term objectives. They also offered prayers for the continued security, prosperity, and advancement of the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting saw the participation of Sheikh Hamad’s son, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah. Also in attendance were prominent officials such as Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, alongside other ministers and government representatives.
This gathering was part of the UAE leadership’s ongoing consultations aimed at assessing national priorities, enhancing cooperation among the emirates, and improving the quality of life for both citizens and residents. Such meetings are a testament to the UAE’s commitment to fostering unity and collaboration across its regions.
The dialogue between the leaders follows President Sheikh Mohamed’s earlier visit to Fujairah in April, where they inspected Fujairah Port and evaluated ongoing development initiatives and operational advancements at one of the UAE’s crucial maritime hubs. This continued interaction highlights the leadership’s focus on infrastructure and strategic development to bolster the nation’s economic prospects.
