The United Arab Emirates has taken a significant humanitarian step by delivering 980 tonnes of aid to Gaza, aimed at supporting civilians affected by the ongoing conflict. This substantial shipment, comprising 62 aid trucks, includes vital food, medical supplies, and shelter materials.
Prepared at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre located in Al Arish, Egypt, this relief effort is part of the broader initiative known as Operation Gallant Knight 3. Since October 2023, the UAE has been actively involved in providing assistance to Gaza, employing various routes such as land, air, and sea to ensure aid reaches those in need.
The operation has not only focused on delivering essential supplies but has also been instrumental in establishing medical facilities to aid the injured. Furthermore, the UAE has facilitated the evacuation of thousands of injured and critically ill patients, ensuring they receive necessary medical treatment.
This recent convoy underscores the UAE’s commitment to addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, reinforcing its ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of civilians caught in the conflict. The latest delivery marks a continuation of support, highlighting the UAE’s role in the international community’s response to the crisis.
