Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have launched a new online system for handling passport, visa, and attestation services. This development enables applicants to book appointments directly through an official online portal, eliminating the need for any booking fees.
The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai are now directly managing these consular services from their offices. This update aims to streamline the application process, enhance efficiency, and eliminate the risk of unauthorized service charges.
Officials have emphasized that appointments for these services must be made exclusively through the official online portal. Applicants are cautioned against paying any individual, agency, or intermediary that claims to provide appointment bookings or expedited services on behalf of the Indian missions.
The missions have also issued warnings against any organization or representative falsely claiming to be officially authorized to offer these appointment services. Individuals who suspect they have been misled, overcharged, or falsely represented are encouraged to report such incidents through the official contact channels of the Embassy or Consulate.
Indian nationals residing in the UAE, as well as travelers, are advised to rely solely on official communications and verified platforms for information related to consular services to avoid fraud and unnecessary expenses.
