UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Albanian President Bajram Begaj held a meeting in Abu Dhabi to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations between their countries. The discussions centered around expanding collaboration in sectors such as trade, the economy, renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure.
President Begaj used the occasion to honor Sheikh Mohamed by presenting him with the Grand Star of the Supreme Order of the Eagle, Albania’s highest state decoration. This accolade recognized Sheikh Mohamed’s significant contributions to strengthening the relationship between the UAE and Albania.
The meeting also covered preparations for the upcoming 2026 UN Water Conference, which the UAE is set to host in December. Both leaders stressed the importance of international cooperation on sustainability, particularly in addressing global water-related challenges.
In addition to these topics, the two presidents discussed regional and international developments, reaffirming their commitment to cooperation aimed at promoting security, stability, and peace.
