Rain is forecast across several regions of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, as temperatures in inland areas are expected to climb to 40°C. The weather will be fair to partly cloudy, with convective clouds developing over northern, eastern, and southern areas, bringing the potential for precipitation.
Accompanying the rain, strong winds are expected to stir up blowing dust, with wind speeds potentially reaching 45 km/h in inland areas and 40 km/h in mountainous regions. Light to moderate winds could become fresh to strong at times. Temperatures are predicted to range between 35°C and 40°C inland, 33°C and 37°C along coastal areas and islands, and 26°C and 32°C in mountainous zones.
Humidity levels are anticipated to rise overnight into Wednesday morning in some coastal and inland areas, potentially leading to fog or mist. The Arabian Gulf could see conditions ranging from slight to moderate, while the Oman Sea is expected to remain slight.
The unsettled weather is linked to a surface low-pressure system paired with a weak upper-level low-pressure system and could persist through Saturday. On Wednesday, rain-bearing clouds might emerge over northern and eastern regions, with winds reaching up to 50 km/h. Further rainfall is possible in eastern and southern areas on Thursday, mainly in eastern regions on Friday, and across eastern and northern areas on Saturday.
Fog or mist could develop overnight and during early morning hours in some coastal and inland locations, particularly in western areas.
