Rain and strong winds are expected to affect parts of the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, with inland and mountainous areas experiencing gusts of up to 50 km/h. As temperatures rise to a potential 41°C in some regions, blowing dust could reduce visibility.
The weather is anticipated to be fair to partly cloudy, with convective clouds forming over eastern regions and spreading to inland and western areas by the afternoon. These clouds may lead to rainfall as low-pressure systems move across the country. Winds from the southeast to northeast will generally range between 10–25 km/h, intensifying with cloud formation. Coastal areas and islands might see winds reaching 35 km/h, with inland temperatures ranging from 35°C to 41°C, coastal areas from 34°C to 38°C, and mountainous areas between 26°C and 32°C.
Humidity levels are expected to rise overnight and into Thursday morning, potentially reaching up to 90% in some locations, which could result in mist or fog, especially along coastal and inland areas. Despite these weather changes, sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are predicted to remain slight.
Thursday’s forecast includes further unstable weather, with clouds developing over the eastern and western parts of the UAE, bringing another chance of rain. Winds could reach speeds of 40 km/h, accompanied by occasional blowing dust. On Friday, partly cloudy weather is likely to continue, with a possibility of afternoon showers in the east, while rising humidity might lead to overnight fog or mist, continuing into early Saturday.
As the weekend progresses, temperatures are expected to gradually decline. Saturday could bring convective clouds to eastern and northern areas, while Sunday is forecasted to be generally fair to partly cloudy. Humid conditions are forecast to persist into Monday morning, increasing the chances of fog or mist.
Overall, Wednesday and Thursday are predicted to have the highest likelihood of rainfall, with a trend towards more settled weather, cooler temperatures, and recurring fog or mist over the weekend.
